We gained new insights from the Danish PropTech Report 2025

Digitisation appears unstoppable – effective execution remains the challenge

  • Real estate is now more committed to digitisation than ever, with 79% planning to increase investments. However, integration issues and lack of digital skills remain major barriers.

The challenge has shifted from adoption to execution, ensuring digital investments actually translate into efficiency, scalability, and long-term impact.

Green transition is a priority – yet digital strategies lag behind

  • The green transition remains the top challenge, however only 12% are investing in digital solutions to drive ESG (Environment, Social, & Governance) progress.

The disconnect between sustainability ambitions and digital strategy suggests real estate has yet to fully leverage technology for its green transition.

  • 89% of proptech companies reported growth in 2024, up from 54% in 2023, reflecting real estate’s increasing reliance on external solutions.

Yet, long sales cycles, industry conservatism, and low investment in innovation on the real estate side, continue to slow adoption.

Proptech demand is surging – yet adoption barriers remain
